Showcase Training Stables Horse Show Series
Showcase Horse Show Series will host four shows this 2010 season: April 18, May 16, July 11, and September 19th; all shows are sanctioned by IEHJA. (Please note the March 7th show has been cancelled due to pending rain and rescheduled to April 18th.)
To kick off its third season April 18th, Showcase has added a new Jumper division, open to riders and/or horses that have not shown in any Jumper class higher than 2'9" in height at any horse show. Fence height at the Showcase shows will be between 2'3" and 2' 6".
Tucked in San Timeoto Canyon surrounded by hills and orange groves, The Showcase Horse Show Series offers local riders the opportunity to compete in more than 50 classes in 13 divisions at each competition. Showcase’s events are affordable and offer riders of all levels an opportunity to compete in local venues. Show Manager Gretchen Clark, who is owner and trainer of Showcase Training Stables, is no stranger to hosting horse shows. She held shows for more than 10 years at her previous location in Sunset Hills with as many as 80 exhibitors. Please note that the age for riders has changed this year; the new IEHJA rule states that a riders' age is as of November 1st of the previous year. In keeping with the principles of IEHJA, Showcase Management strives to "promote the interests of owners and exhibitors of Hunters and Jumpers horses...as well as...encourage and assist owners, exhibitors and breeders of horses to maintain, develop, and improve the qualities and strains of horses of the 'Hunter, Jumper Horse' classes." The Showcase Horse Show Series was started by Gretchen to provide young riders and their families “affordable” yet competitive venues for the growth and development of equestrian pursuits. Showcase enjoys an excellent working relationship with and support from local vendors. This support provides resources for exhibitors and trainers and enhances the “showing experience” for all riders. 2009 Showcase Horse Show Series Winners Division Horse Rider
